FIRST IMPRESSIONSVISUAL Voyager currently occupies a humaniform body modeled by The Little Prince, and so appears as a young boy shy of ten years old with the small stature to match, angelic pale facial features, a head of fluffy golden hair, and very bright blue eyes. His long and shining gold-foil scarf perpetually flutters in an intangible breeze behind him. On days when he's feeling well, Voyager is prone to carrying a gentle warm glow about him everywhere he goes, like he's being constantly bathed in a midday sunbeam streaming through an invisible window. Additionally, sometimes it's just his scarf that's floating, and other times his whole body's floating too, just a few inches off the ground as he drifts from place to place. SOUND As linked above, his voice is a match to his current Servant appearance, high and boyish. His speech patterns are generally fairly slow and deliberate, a cadence that can either worsen or quicken depending on how alert he might currently be to the goings-on about him. The more focused and motivated he is, however, the more clear and decisive he'll become. SCENT Nothing in particular, to normal noses. The more sensitive sort, though, could readily note that he doesn't smell human at all. Instead, under the layer of ozone-like magical energy that currently constitutes his Servant body, there's a distinct impression of heated aluminum alloy metal mingling with the acrid traces of deep-space stardust. DEMEANOR Despite his origin being chronologically old enough to qualify for adulthood in humans, Voyager is generally considered to be relatively very young and strangely formative by the standards of Heroic Spirit Servants. There's a distinct impression of genuine guileless innocence; he will approach new faces with open curiosity, and is for the most part friendly and (fairly) polite once that curiosity's more settled. He enjoys sweet desserts and fun games and affectionate company, as any child would. But he's also in constant pursuit of new sights and novel sounds, a motivation that can often eclipse all other priorities. He can and will sit still in one place for hours at a time observing or listening to sufficiently interesting novelties, with a slow and patient intensity not generally found in a human boy of his apparent age. Outside of examining new experiences, his neutral state often seems a bit detached and almost dreamy--fairly aware of the world around him, and yet constantly just a bit distracted, like he can't quite stop thinking about something else far away. On notable occasions, however, this detachment is liable to fade in favor of a surprisingly lucid intensity. IC PERMISSIONSPHYSICAL CONTACT He generally won't mind it too much even from strangers; he's observed that headpats, hand-holding and hugs seem to be things that a lot of people want to do when they meet him for some reason. Still, he won't be shy to express some displeasure if there's more poking and prodding going on than he wants to deal with at a given time. PHYSICAL VIOLENCE He'd think that's not very nice of you :( Though he's starting to grow more versed in standing up for his friends and himself if needs must. Those expecting to be throwing hands with a normal child may end up surprised by what he's actually packing in terms of power; let's discuss the outcome! INJURING / KILLING As a Servant Voyager is tougher than he looks in some respects, and so could withstand being battered about to an extent. Would like to discuss before getting into injuries like broken limbs and worse, but general wounding overall isn't off the table. Otherwise, death is a bit of a given on this boat and Voyager certainly isn't immune! I'd prefer to plot out the circumstances surrounding a death first, though, so hit me up! MENTAL INFORMATION Kinda weird! A surface-level sweep imparts an emotionally dreamy detachment when he's in a neutral state, and ravenous curiosity alongside riveted attention when encountering new experiences. His overall mental sensibilities are fairly child-like. But digging in deeper unearths more distinctly un-childlike peculiarities. Even in his dreamier states, he constantly maintains a supernaturally sharp spatial awareness of his surroundings, and seems to perceive the world around him in general through a practically machine-like lens of steady observation. The shape of his thoughts and memories, especially relating to sounds and sights, also possesses a literally photographic clarity that'd be more fitting for a machine memory bank than a human brain. Yet he does still seem to experience genuinely human-like emotions... MAGICAL INFORMATION Kid is a bundle of pure magic! So anyone sensitive to such energies is quite free to notice the fountain of it emanating from his person; in turn, Voyager may be noticing any magical or spiritual strangeness emanating from your own character too. Voyager is a Servant, a spirit body given form through the anchoring magic of a summoning, and his general existence is even more strangely-interpreted than the standard Servant's. Heroic Spirit Servants are commonly the recorded souls of humans who achieved deeds of great impact in history; meanwhile, Voyager is an abstract concept of humanity's outreach to the stars that's gained a will and sentience of its own once given shape. Humanity's hopes and dreams of contact with interstellar society, poured into a space probe they threw into the endless cosmos, have been laid upon the backbone of The Little Prince's concepts to give him the shape he has now. For further details on Voyager's deal and more specific abilities he has, feel free to take a look at his app over here! MEDICAL INFORMATION Though Voyager appears human, his actual constitution is more Ether and magical energy than flesh and blood. Despite still being able to experience pain, he's somewhat capable of withstanding injuries that would be fatal for a human; however, he could still be killed by sufficiently powerful damage inflicted to his Spiritual Core. A Servant's head and heart are generally linked directly to said Spirital Core, making them very vulnerable points. His current body still seems functional in most other human ways: he can see, hear, smell, taste, and feel--and finds great novelty in testing these senses, most of them being nonexistent as a space probe. Though he enjoys food, he doesn't actually need to eat, and thanks to his inherent "Independent Navigation" class skill he's able to maintain his form without the active supplement of a contracted Master's magical energy for quite some time. He's generally running rather hot, which often renders him unusually warm to the touch. OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS Has a very knee-jerk aversion to snakes, both as an idea and on sight. OOC PERMISSIONSBACKTAGGING No problem! Down for reaching back up to about a month for in-game threads; past that point, we might want to get together and handwave to open the way for new events! THREADHOPPING Dependent on context! If things are in the middle of dumb comedy already you're probably fine (especially if it's just muffled meta commentary in the bg lol). Otherwise, though, please ask me first! FOURTHWALLING Characters are free to eventually realize he is a sentient manifestation of That exact Voyager space probe, and question him accordingly about it; he doesn't mind talking about himself! Alternatively, he could be mistaken for The Little Prince as well, though he wouldn't accept that identity as entirely his own; he's had the book read to him before, however, and would be amenable to discussing its contents. Would rather pass on actual canon puncturing a la "you're a character in a light novel/gacha mobage game" etc SHIPPING Would prefer not. Let's keep it to friendships and found family. DO NOT WANT As a personal preference I have a hard time with highly detailed gore. Gorey concepts are fine, so long as the written details are rather more vague than not. (Statements to the point a la "He was stabbed in the eye" are generally ok, but a lovingly prose description of the fine details of the eye-stabbing would be a no-go for me.) For interactions with Voyager specifically, I do not want to engage him in anything discussing sexual topics in general, implied or otherwise. So let's not, please! ANYTHING ELSE? - Player timezone is CST - I default to action brackets out of habit, but if you prefer prose just let me know! I'm happy to match - I may sometimes tend to err towards longer tags even in texting threads, so I'm not great at sustained boomeranging, but will try to keep a steady pace going for the thread with a tag at least every couple days. I also don't mind shorter tags in return at all! Please never feel obligated to ever match my tag lengths. The main thing is that the thread along and keeps things fun for all parties! INVENTORYNormally on his person:
